so I can pull the lonely cont inents back together I want to rip the scabs off the worlds old wounds and create new ones I want to see the land buckle and reach upwards the same way a child reaches for a cookie jar on a high shelf I want destruction to flow warm and nourishing from the naked veins like chicken soup for a broken society I want to suture damaged countries together in the shape of dinosaurs with only Barbie band-aids and love I want to use the ice caps to chill a war

I'm Not A Romanticyoure ghosting me your arms are ghosting my arms and th ose pictures we took are still stuck to the back of my eyelids you know even though you're squinting and my eyes are red i' m burying my face into my pillow and pretending its your ha ir and for a moment i can smell the perfume you used to spr ay on your brush (remember it smelt like flowers and gasoli ne?) and the sweat that managed to never smell very bad i wonder if im ghosting you too id like to think i was i really w ould (but you always kept my stomach taut and my head a ching because i was allergic to thI'm Not A Romantic
